Learn Five songs on guitar
Busk in a public place
I got a guitar for my birthday about 4 years ago. Aside from a few spurts here and there, I have not practiced consistently at all. Therefore, when I started to get back on it this week, I barely knew the D chord. However, just over this week, I have managed to get three chords down pat and am working on two others. That is pretty good progress so far.
My short term goal is to learn Amazing Grace. After that, I will see where I go from there. For Amazing Grace, I need to know the D, G, A, and, E chords. I looked at the sheet online, and technically, it can be played with just the D chord. But, that sounds kind of boring. So, I’m going for the whole thing.
I am using an app called ChordBank to learn the major and minor chords. However any thing beyond that, you have to pay for. It also includes beginner lessons and a tuner. Using this I have been learned D, A, E, and, G. Now I just need to print out the chords for Amazing Grace. I will upload a video of me playing it on YouTube if you guys want to see that.
Does anybody have any ideas for another song I should learn?
So, recently I have had this song stuck in my head. It is called “Friend Zone.” It is basically talking about this boy and girl who are good friends. However, the boy the wants to be more than “just friends.” But the girl didn’t feel the same way. So he saying that he’s “caught up in the friend zone”
My question is, what is so bad about being in the friend zone? Why does every relationship between a boy and girl have to be somewhere on the way to becoming a “special relationship”. Why when I’m talking to some boy for a certain amount of time, the adults look at me cross-eyed and the minors are holding up their hands in a heart shape. I mean, would you rather be in the enemy zone? I love all my friends, boy or girl, and enjoy their company. If you want more than that, I’m flattered, but if that is not God’s plan right now, why can’t you just be happy with the relationship we already have?
Quite frankly, I would rather just have a really good friend that I can hang out with, without the awkwardness. That I could go to an event with a dude, without the agonizing questions:
“What did he mean by that?”
“If I eat this much, will he think I’m a pig?”
“Should we hold hands?”
“If he puts his arm around my shoulder, should I lean on his?”
And the million dollar question:
“Should we kiss?”
I’m sixteen. I have never had a boyfriend. However, I do enjoy the freedom that comes from just being friends without jealousy or awkward. I know that there is no chance of broken heart or a broken relationship. There is really nothing wrong with being in the “friend zone.”

A few days ago, I was looking up the abbreviation for the word “length” on Yahoo while doing my schoolwork. After finding out the abbreviation, something caught my eye. On the sidebar I saw a magazine headline saying,” MICHAEL JACKSONS KIDS STEP OUT, LOOKING SHARP, IN RARE PUBLIC APPEARANCE TOGETHER. Being the curious person I am, not to mention the fact that I didn’t even know who Michael Jackson was until he died,(Boo Hoo!) i decided to click on it. If you would like to see it, here is the link,http://music.yahoo.com/blogs/stop-the-presses/michael-jackson-kids-step-looking-sharp-rare-public-164558476.html. Anyway, I read the article and, to tell you the truth, they were dressed very well and Paris in a modest yet elegant evening dress. Prince and Blanket were dressed in cool, sharp suits. (Prince was rocking the sunglasses) Personally, I think the children looked more mature and dressed up than LaToya their aunt who is also in the picture.
But aside from the picture itself, I realized that I really would not trade places with the Jackson kids. I mean one glance at Blanket in any pictures and there are only a few that actually show him smiling.(I googled it) For what reason, I don’t know, maybe he just has a serious outlook on life. Which is understandable, losing a parent. But really lets evaluate the life o these famous kids:
They lost their Dad at a very young age.
They don’t even live with their mother.
While they do keep some of their lives private, they must be pressured to be in public very often. I mean seriously, the picture above shows them promoting an ENERGY DRINK, Mr. Pinks Ginseng Drink to be exact. Great, another energy drink to add to the 7,000,000 of its kind.
Even if Michael Jackson claim to believe in Christ, from his lifestyle, I would be fervently praying for him. So these siblings probably need Jesus.
So, in closing, while I will pray for them, I seriously would not switch places with them.
